Re/Fresh Culture of Inclusion

Although being a relatively new employee at Perkins+Will (July ’17), the culture of inclusion I’ve experienced in the Boston office has been evident from day 1. It’s apparent that it’s in the firm’s DNA and nothing has demonstrated this more than the Boston office Re/Fresh process. Going through two different, extensive office renovations/relocations at previous firms in my 20+ years of experience – this one has been far more inclusive and informative. There have been multiple “hands on” working lunches for everyone in the office to participate in shaping the vision of the Re/Fresh, each building on the previous workshop. No idea or concept has been dismissed while developing and shaping what will be to come. I want to commend the Perkins+Will Boston leadership for being so committed to inclusion and truly working with all of the employees for visioning, goal setting, and understanding needs and wishes of everyone in the office.

The level stewardship demonstrated by the committee in bettering the Perkins+Will culture and workplace for the Boston office is amazing. That can’t be stated enough. This was not necessarily the case from my previous experiences. I’m am very thankful for being part of the Perkins+Will community. I look forward to the new office transformation as it develops and comes to fruition as I believe it will reflect “our” office transformation!
